Ghee selling costlier in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Despite the announcement of the government relating to a slash in per kilo ghee price by Rs42, it is being sold here at Rs150 per kilo.The government had announced a cut in ghee price by Rs42 and accordingly the per kilo ghee price has been fixed at Rs98, but the shopkeepers in blatant defiance are still selling ghee at their old price of Rs120/150 per kilo, complained the hapless consumers here, while the shopkeepers took the plea that they have as yet not received the announced concession on price from the manufacturers and they were actually selling old stock, which was not possible to be sold at the cut price.
